Please note the important updates regarding the SigenStor Energy Controllers voluntary product recall and its impact on STC claim processing.

As part of the national recall requirements, GreenDeal must ensure that all recalled Sigenergy products are replaced with the updated approved models. Please review the following carefully, as these requirements apply to all current and future STC submissions involving Sigenergy systems.

1. Affected Models

Please refer to the Clean Energy Council list of recalled Sigenergy models:

2. New Photo Requirements for Installations from 20 November

For all Sigenergy installations completed on or after 20 November, installers must upload photos that clearly show:

  • The new Sigenergy model

  • 🆕 Newly installed/replaced Sigenergy Inverter (Energy Controller) Serial Number (SN) with a QR code sticker

  • The OT terminal–style AC connection (as per the CEC requirements)

  • Geotagged and timestamped photos confirming the installation details

These photos must be uploaded to the Installer Checklist → “Inverter Installed” section of the STC job.

Without these photos, GreenDeal will not be able to process the STC claims.

Our compliance team will conduct a detailed review of this checklist item. Jobs without the required evidence will be returned as RFI.

3. Jobs Already Lodged With Us

For STC jobs already submitted prior to this notice:

  • We are awaiting further clarification on the CER process.

  • You may be required to provide updated AC connector photos for previously lodged jobs involving recalled Sigenergy units.

  • If additional evidence is required, we will contact you directly with instructions.
