Before creating an NSW Battery Job, make sure the required permissions, PRC Access and PRC Training are in place.
The BESS Job Creation Permission is available on the Retailer Portal Dashboard and can only be managed by a Company Admin User.
Once a Company Admin enables this permission, all Retailer Users under the same Company will automatically receive permission to create BESS2 Jobs.
📌 To create other NSW Battery Jobs, make sure PRC Access is enabled and PRC Training is completed with the Training Status = Passed.
🔓 Step 1 | Enable NSW PRC Access
A Retailer User with Admin permission can go to the NSW PRC settings in GreenDeal and enable PRC Access.
The PRC switch applies to:
BESS2
BESS3
BESS4
BESS5
📋 Step 2 | Review and Accept the Terms & Conditions
When PRC Access is enabled for the first time, GreenDeal will launch the onboarding process and display the relevant Terms & Conditions.
Review the information carefully and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the confirmation.
📄 Step 3 | Upload the Required Documents
Upload the following documents as prompted:
Certificate of Currency (COC) — Public and Product Liability Insurance with a minimum of $5 million coverage
NSW Contractor Licence
Make sure all uploaded documents remain valid and that your COC has not expired.
⚠️ An expired COC or Contractor Licence may affect your ability to create or lodge NSW Battery Jobs.
🎓 Step 4 | Complete PRC Training
GreenDeal will display the NSW PRC Training materials.
Please review all Training Information as instructed on the page.
To complete the Training:
Open all relevant tabs
Review the Training Materials
Complete all required content review steps
📌 Please review all Training Information carefully.
Once all required content has been viewed, the Submit button will become available.
Click Submit to complete PRC Training.
✅ Step 5 | Confirm Your Training Status
After completing PRC Training, confirm that your status shows:
Training Status = Passed
Once the Training Status is updated to Passed, you can create the corresponding NSW Battery Jobs.
👷 Step 6 | Invite an Installer to Complete PRC Eligibility / Training
If an Installer will complete on-site work for an NSW Battery Job, make sure they have completed the required GreenDeal registration, qualification checks and relevant Training, and meet the applicable PRC Eligibility requirements.
Find the Installer and send an invitation by following the on-screen instructions
Once invited, the Installer will need to complete the applicable steps in GreenDeal:

🛠️ Installer Qualification Requirements
📌 Installer qualification requirements vary by BESS Activity.
BESS3 / BESS4:
The relevant Battery Installer and Designer qualifications are required.
BESS5
BESS5 does not require the same battery-specific Installer / Designer qualifications.
However, the Installer must still meet GreenDeal's standard credential and PRC Eligibility requirements.
