🔧 VEEC Validation Errors & Troubleshooting

Resolve common VEEC validation issues when creating, completing or lodging a Job.

Overview

When creating, completing or lodging a Solar VEEC job, GreenDeal performs validation checks to ensure required information and documents are completed.

If a validation issue occurs, review the message displayed and follow the recommended solution below.

⚠️ VEEC Work Type Is Not Available

Issue

You cannot find the VEEC Work Type option when creating a new Job.

Possible Cause

Solar VEEC job Creation Permission has not been enabled.

Solution

  1. Go to the GreenDeal Dashboard.

  2. Enable Solar VEEC job Creation Permission.

  3. Return to Job Creation and check the available Work Types.


⚠️ Installation Address Validation Error

Issue

The Job cannot continue because the Installation Address does not meet VEEC requirements.

Possible Cause

The Installation Address is not located in Victoria (VIC).

Solution

Check the Installation Address and select the correct VIC installation location.


⚠️ Duplicate NMI Validation

Issue

GreenDeal displays an NMI validation message.

Possible Cause

The same NMI has already been used for another VEEC application.

Solution

Check:

✅ The NMI has been entered correctly.


✅ Whether an existing Solar VEEC job already uses the same NMI.


⚠️ Panel Capacity Validation Error

Issue

The Job cannot continue because the Panel Capacity does not meet the VEEC requirements.

Possible Cause

The Panel Capacity is outside the supported range for the selected Solar VEEC job combination.

Solution

Check the Job type and confirm the Panel Capacity.

Solar VEEC job Type

Required Panel Capacity

VEEC Only

30kW – 200kW

STC Battery + VEEC

30kW – 200kW

STC PV + VEEC

30kW – 100kW

STC PV + STC Battery + VEEC

30kW – 100kW


⚠️ Inverter Capacity Validation Error

Issue

The Job cannot continue because the Inverter Capacity does not meet VEEC requirements.

Possible Cause

For Jobs containing VEEC: Total Inverter Capacity is below: 30kW

Solution

Review the selected Inverter information and update the equipment details if required.


⚠️ Installer Checklist Must Be Checked

Issue

Installer cannot finish the Solar VEEC job.

Error message:

Monitoring Portal must be checked

Possible Cause

The required Monitoring Portal Checklist has not been completed.

Solution

  1. Open the VEEC Checklist.

  2. Complete the Monitoring Portal requirement.

  3. Return to the Job and click Finish Job again.


⚠️ Missing DNSP Contract

Issue

Lodge VEEC fails with: Missing DNSP Contract

Possible Cause

The required DNSP Contract document has not been uploaded.

Solution

  1. Open Job Details.

  2. Go to Attachments.

  3. Upload the DNSP Contract.

  4. Run Auto Check again.

  5. Lodge the Job.


⚠️ Missing DNSP Connection Approval

Issue

Lodge VEEC fails with: Missing DNSP Connection Approval

Possible Cause

The DNSP Connection Approval document has not been uploaded.

Solution

Upload the DNSP Connection Approval document and complete any required information.


⚠️ Missing Tax Invoice

Issue

Lodge VEEC fails with: Missing Tax Invoice

Possible Cause

The required Tax Invoice has not been uploaded.

Solution

Upload the Tax Invoice under Job Attachments.

After uploading, make sure the Benefit Amount field is completed.


⚠️ Missing Amount of Benefit Provided for Assignment of Certificates (Include GST)

Issue

Lodge VEEC fails with: Missing Amount of benefit assignment of certificates (Include GST)

Possible Cause

The Tax Invoice has been uploaded, but the required amount field has not been completed.

Solution

Complete:

Amount of benefit provided for assignment of certificates (Include GST)

Make sure:

✅ The amount includes GST.


✅ The amount matches the Tax Invoice.


⚠️ Missing COES Number

Issue

Lodge VEEC fails with: Missing COES Number

Possible Cause

The CCEW / COES document has been uploaded, but the corresponding Number has not been entered.

Solution

  1. Open the CCEW / COES section.

  2. Enter the required:

CCEW / COES Number

  1. Run validation again.


⚠️ Missing ESC Acceptance of Your Notification to Undertake a Prescribed Activity

Issue

Lodge VEEC fails with: Missing ESC Acceptance of Your Notification to Undertake a Prescribed Activity

Possible Cause

The Job is identified as a Scheduled Activity Premises, but the required ESC Acceptance document has not been uploaded.

Solution

Upload:

ESC Acceptance of Your Notification to Undertake a Prescribed Activity

Then run Auto Check again before lodging.


💡 Tip

If a Solar VEEC job cannot be lodged:

  1. Review the validation message.

  2. Check the related document or field.

  3. Complete the missing information.

  4. Run Auto Check again.

  5. Retry Lodgement.
